Un ejemplo refinado de las esculturas de luz Akari diseñadas por primera vez en 1951 por un artista pionero estadounidense-japonés, la Lámpara de mesa Akari surge directamente de las linternas de pesca tradicionales de Gifu, Japón. Su estructura esbelta — reminiscente de costillas de bambú — está envuelta en papel de arroz pegado a mano, suavizando y difundiendo la bombilla en un resplandor ambiental uniforme.
