Mouille a conçu ses luminaires anguleux ressemblant à des insectes comme "une réaction aux modèles italiens qui commençaient à envahir le marché dans les années 1950", qu'il critiquait pour être "trop compliqués". Son grand lampadaire à trois bras (1952) présente une esthétique cinétique et sculpturale qui évoque une sensation de mouvement dans l'espace. Tous les bras peuvent pivoter dans différentes directions, permettant un éclairage suffisant et bien orienté pour n'importe quelle tâche.
Mouille a conçu la lampe à trois bras pour un client dont les instructions étaient simplement : "Je veux une grande lumière parce que j'ai des clients en Amérique du Sud qui ont des pièces immenses." Toutes ses solutions d'éclairage présentent les signatures distinctives de Mouille en tant que designer : la façon dont les bras sont assemblés aux diffuseurs, la rondelle et la quincaillerie à vis à six pans, la forme des réflecteurs et les lignes raffinées des tubes en acier.

Solid steel rod is measured, cut, and bent into the long, tapering arms that define the silhouette.
