Les dessins ressemblant à des insectes de Mouille des années 1950 ont été créés en réaction aux dessins italiens plus lourds et plus encombrants de l'époque. Mouille souhaitait créer des luminaires modernes aux lignes délicates et à la présence visuelle époustouflante. L'applique murale à un bras est l'une des lampes les plus polyvalentes de Serge.
Le bras mesure 47 pouces, ce qui permet de projeter la lumière dans de nombreuses parties différentes de la pièce. De plus, l'abat-jour a une rotation indépendante pour permettre une plus grande flexibilité.
