The stem is the entire personality of the lamp. Three deliberate curves rise from the polished iron base to the shade above — far enough from a straight pole to read as sculptural, controlled enough to remain elegant rather than chaotic. The curve extends the lamp's centre of gravity outward, which is why the iron base is intentionally weighted: without that counterbalance, the squiggle would tip. Every Squiggle ships with the stem as a single pre-bent piece — never assembled on-site — so the curve is consistent across every unit.

A single solid metal pole bent into the signature squiggle curve, finished in matte powder-coated Black. Pleated Fabric Shade
A pleated fabric lampshade in your choice of Beige, White, or Dark green. The vertical pleats serve a dual purpose: visual rhythm (echoing the wavy stem below in a different register), and light diffusion (the folds soften the bulb's glow into a warm, even pool of light). Removable for cleaning or replacement.
Polished Iron Base

- Unpack the long box (L 148cm x W 30cm x H 25cm). Inside: the pre-bent squiggle stem (single piece), the polished iron base, the pleated fabric shade, and the cable with in-line switch.
- Step 1: Screw the squiggle stem onto the iron base. Hand-tighten — no tools required.
- Step 2: Thread the cable up through the stem (if not pre-threaded) and connect to the bulb socket at the top.
- Step 3: Source an E14 bulb separately (25-40W equivalent LED recommended) and screw it into the socket.
