Posy

Table Luminaire · A Bouquet of Light
01 Overview A Small Bouquet of Light

A small bouquet of light — gathered like a Victorian posy on a marble table.

A posy is a small hand-tied bouquet, the Victorian word for a tussie-mussie — flowers gathered, bound, and given as a quiet message. The Posy Table Lamp draws the same gesture in glass and metal: a cluster of small spheres, held aloft on slender copper-plated stems, all anchored to a substantial natural marble base. When lit, the bouquet refracts the bulb's warmth outward, scattering small highlights across nearby surfaces — turning a side table or bedside into a quietly glowing object. Choose between two cluster variants: Multicolor, a soft iridescent fusion of pink, mint, ice blue, iris, and peach pastels for spaces that embrace colour as joy; or Clear, crystalline and architectural for restrained, neutral interiors.

02 Color Two Ways to Bloom

Variant 01
Multicolor
A mixed cluster of soft iridescent glass — pink, mint, ice blue, iris, and peach — casting gentle pastel highlights on adjacent surfaces when lit. The "joyful" Posy.

Variant 02
Clear
Transparent crystalline spheres that quietly refract the bulb without adding colour — architectural, minimal, and palette-neutral. The "restrained" Posy.

04 Materials & Craft Three Pillars
Natural Marble Base
A weighted disc of natural marble anchors the lamp with substance and individual veining — the soft, grounded counterweight to the delicate bouquet above. Each base is unique.
Copper-Plated Stems
Slender steel stems, copper-plated to a warm rose-gold finish, radiate from the central rod into the sphere cluster like flower stems in a vase. Copper patinates gently with age — softening with use.
Glass Sphere Cluster
A bouquet of five glass spheres — Multicolor pastels or Clear crystalline — refracts the bulb's warmth outward, scattering small highlights across nearby surfaces. The bulb itself remains hidden inside the cluster.

Indoor use only. Posy is for dry interior environments. Copper plating is sensitive to prolonged moisture (it will oxidise into green verdigris), and the marble base is porous — keep away from bathrooms, wet rooms, and outdoor settings. 07 Installation Setup Notes
  • Unbox carefully — the glass spheres are delicate. Always lift the lamp from the marble base, never from the stems or sphere cluster.
  • Place on a flat, stable, clean surface. We recommend a small felt pad or coaster between the marble and delicate wood surfaces to prevent marking.
  • Install an E26 or E27 bulb (sold separately). A warm white LED bulb (2700K–3000K, 5–8 W) gives the most flattering refraction through the sphere cluster and keeps heat output low.
  • Plug into a standard wall outlet. The 150 cm cord includes an inline on/off switch positioned along the cord — easy to reach from a sitting position. The lamp ships with the regional plug you select at checkout (US, UK, AU, or EU).
  • When replacing the bulb, unplug the lamp and let the bulb cool. Reach carefully past the sphere cluster — handle the spheres only with clean, dry hands.
  • To dim, install a dimmable LED bulb and plug into a wall outlet controlled by a TRIAC-compatible dimmer switch. The whole bouquet glows softly at low output.
08 Questions Frequently Asked
What does the name "Posy" mean?
A posy is a small hand-tied bouquet of flowers — a Victorian-era word for a tussie-mussie, traditionally a gift of carefully arranged blooms. The lamp's silhouette is a direct reference: a cluster of small glass spheres gathered like a bouquet on slender copper-plated stems, all held by a marble base.
Should I choose Multicolor or Clear?
Multicolor is the joyful, iridescent option — soft pink, mint, ice blue, iris, and peach pastels casting gentle, dreamy highlights on nearby surfaces. Best for interiors that embrace colour or want a focal-point object that announces personality. Clear is the architectural, restrained option — the spheres read almost as ice or water, catching light without adding colour. Best for minimal, neutral, or stone-heavy interiors where you want the form to dominate.
Will the copper plating tarnish over time?
Yes — and gracefully. Copper develops a subtle, darkening patina with age, deepening the warmth of the finish. Many owners prefer this gentle progression as part of the lamp's character. To slow patination, wipe the stems with a soft dry cloth. To preserve the original brightness, use a non-abrasive copper polish sparingly. Avoid moisture, abrasive cleaners, and solvents.
Will the marble base look exactly like the photos?
The overall tone will match — but each marble base carries its own subtle vein pattern and colour variation, because marble is a natural stone. Specific veining is unique to your individual lamp. This is part of the piece's character, not a defect.
Is a bulb included?
No. Posy takes a standard E26 or E27 screw-base bulb, sold separately. We recommend a warm white LED (2700K–3000K, 5–8 W) — warm light makes the sphere refraction most flattering, and LEDs keep heat output low near the glass cluster.
Is Posy dimmable?
The lamp itself uses an inline on/off switch — no built-in dimmer. To dim, install a dimmable LED bulb and plug into a wall outlet controlled by a TRIAC-compatible dimmer switch. Dimmed warmth is particularly beautiful through the sphere cluster — the whole bouquet glows softly at low output.
How heavy is it? Will it fall over?
The marble base provides substantial, stabilising weight — Posy will not tip or wobble on a flat surface. Always lift the lamp by the marble base, never by the stems or sphere cluster, to avoid stressing the connections.
Where does Posy work best?
On bedside tables, console tables, sideboards, dressing tables, and small reading nooks. Posy reads as a small sculptural object rather than a primary light source — best paired with overhead or ambient lighting for full-room illumination, while Posy provides accent glow and visual character.
Which plug type should I choose?
Choose the plug that matches your local outlets at checkout: US plug (North America, Japan), UK plug (UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Singapore), AU plug (Australia, New Zealand, China), or EU plug (continental Europe). The lamp supports AC 110–240V full-range — only the plug shape needs to match.
Can I install it in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. Posy is for dry indoor use only. Copper plating is sensitive to prolonged moisture (it will oxidise into green verdigris), and the marble base is porous — avoid bathrooms, wet rooms, covered porches, and any outdoor environment.
How do I clean the spheres, stems, and base?
With the lamp unplugged and cool, gently dust the entire lamp with a soft dry microfibre cloth. For the glass spheres, a slightly damp cloth (water only) handles fingerprints — dry immediately. For the copper stems, use only a dry cloth or a non-abrasive copper polish. For the marble base, a damp cloth and immediate drying is fine — but never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon, bathroom cleaners) as they will etch the stone.
Will customs duties be charged on delivery?
The price at checkout does not include customs duties, local taxes, VAT, or import costs — these may be collected by the courier on delivery, depending on your country.
