The Octavius Alabaster Globe Wall Sconce draws on vintage European estate lighting with an organic modern ease. Natural alabaster spheres give off a warm, luminous glow, grounded by forest-green marble accents and carried on gracefully sweeping antique brass scrollwork. Every alabaster globe is unique — as a natural stone, its veining and translucency differ from piece to piece, so no two lights are ever the same. Mount a pair to flank a fireplace, or line a hallway or dining room wall with soft, moody light.

Is this hardwired, or does it plug in?
It's hardwired, with no plug or cord, and is controlled by a standard wall switch. We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
Are there natural variations in the alabaster?
Yes. Alabaster is a natural stone, so veining and translucency vary piece to piece — no two globes are identical.
Should I choose one or two heads?
The single head (12 cm wide) suits a narrow wall or a pair flanking a fireplace or mirror. The two-head version (38 cm wide) gives more light and presence along a hallway or dining room wall.
Is there a matching chandelier?
Yes. The Octavius Alabaster Globe Chandelier shares the same alabaster globes, green marble accents, and antique brass, in 3-, 5-, and 8-light sizes.
What bulbs should I use?
Each globe takes a standard E26 or E27 bulb, not included. Bulbs around 2700K bring out the stone's warm glow; check the wattage limit printed on the fixture before buying.
Can I use this in a bathroom or powder room?
It's rated IP20, meaning dry indoor locations only — it isn't sealed against moisture or steam, and alabaster and marble are porous stones, so it's not suited to bathrooms or powder rooms near water.
How do I care for the alabaster and marble?
Wipe gently with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners, which can mark or stain the natural stone.
