A single Melt is a statement. A cluster of 3, 7, or 16 becomes a sculpture — infinite reflections, warped geometries, a constellation of molten light overhead.
The Melt Round Pendant System gathers 3 to 16 metallised orbs into a single suspended cluster, anchored by one round ceiling canopy rather than the multiple ceiling roses required by lesser cluster systems. Each configuration plays with reflections, spacing, and visual rhythm — turning a dining-room ceiling into a sculptural centrepiece. The orbs themselves are the same hot-blown-glass-effect spheres as the single Melt Pendant: a rigid metal-and-PVC shell with a high-sheen metallic finish — not actual blown glass, which is what allows so many of them to hang together safely from one canopy. Choose from seven standard configurations in four hand-applied finishes, or commission a custom array.

04 Materials & Craft Three Pillars
Metallised Shell Orbs
Each orb is a rigid metal-and-PVC shell coated with a high-sheen metallic finish — not actual blown glass. The molten silhouette stays exactly as formed; the construction is what allows so many orbs to hang together safely from one canopy. Available in three orb sizes (Ø 18, Ø 28, Ø 38 cm) combined within each cluster.
Single Round Canopy
A single round ceiling canopy — matched to the orb finish — anchors the entire cluster from one central mounting point. Cleaner than multi-canopy systems, easier for your electrician to install correctly, and a more intentional final composition.
Cables & Custom Drops
Each orb ships with a 150 cm (59″) cable as standard. Custom drop lengths per orb can be specified on request — varying heights within a single cluster creates a layered, sculptural composition far more striking than uniform drops.
Zoom
A note on craft. Faint traces of the mould may be visible on the underside of each Melt orb — the honest signature of the forming process. This is an intrinsic characteristic of how the molten silhouette is captured in solid form, not a defect, and the underside is not visible during normal overhead use.

07 Installation Setup Notes
- Hardwired ceiling installation — a licensed electrician is recommended for safe mounting, wiring, and grounding. The larger the cluster (11/13/16 heads), the more important professional installation becomes.
- Flat ceilings only. The round canopy requires a level mounting plane — sloped or vaulted ceilings are not compatible.
- Verify junction box capacity. The smaller configurations (3–7 heads) mount to a standard junction box. The larger clusters (11, 13, 16 heads) are substantial and require a reinforced box rated for the weight — confirm with your electrician before ordering.
- Each orb ships with a 150 cm (59″) cable. For dramatic compositions, request varied drop lengths per orb when ordering — different heights within the same cluster creates a layered, sculptural effect more striking than uniform drops.
- Install one E26/E27 bulb per orb — your head count = the number of bulbs you need (3 bulbs for 3-head, 16 bulbs for 16-head). A warm white LED (2700K–3000K, 5–8 W per orb) gives the most flattering glow through the metallised shells.
- For dimming, pair dimmable LED bulbs with a TRIAC-compatible dimmer switch on the wall circuit.
- Unpack carefully — each orb is cushioned individually. Hang the canopy first, then attach each orb in sequence, working from the centre outward.
08 Questions Frequently Asked
How is the System different from the single Melt Pendant?
The single Melt Pendant is one orb on its own ceiling rose — a solo statement. The System gathers 3–16 orbs under one round canopy as a cluster composition. The orbs are identical between the two products; the System is the multi-orb arrangement plus the unifying canopy. Note on finish: the System adds Rose Gold, while the single Melt offers Red — the two product lines do not share an identical finish set.
Are the orbs made of real glass?
No. Each orb imitates the look of hot-blown glass but is a rigid metal-and-PVC shell with a high-sheen metallic coating. This construction is what allows so many orbs to hang together safely from one canopy — actual blown glass at this scale and weight would be impractical and unsafe in a multi-head cluster.
Which configuration should I choose?
Scale by ceiling area and ceiling height. 3 heads (Ø 40 canopy) suits a breakfast nook. 5 heads (Ø 50) works over most dining tables. 7 heads (Ø 60) is a confident dining anchor. 11 heads (Ø 80) is a statement for grand dining or open-plan. 13 heads introduces smaller Ø 18cm orbs for a layered look. 16 heads (Ø 100) is an architectural-scale piece for stairwells, double-height entries, and gallery rooms.
Why do 13-head and 16-head clusters use Ø 18cm orbs?
Smaller orbs allow more spheres in the cluster without overcrowding visually or overweighting the canopy. The 13-head and 16-head configurations use Ø 18cm (instead of Ø 38cm) for the majority of orbs, giving these large clusters a denser, more constellation-like appearance — closer to a chandelier than a pendant grouping. The smaller 3/5/7/11 configurations don't include Ø 18cm because at those head counts the larger orbs read more confidently.
Can I order a custom System with more than 16 heads?
Yes. We regularly produce 20-head and larger arrays, custom-shaped arrangements, and architectural commissions. Please email us with your desired head count, orb size mix, target ceiling height, and space dimensions. We'll confirm feasibility, lead time, and pricing.
Which finish should I choose?
Rose Gold — soft, romantic warmth, beautiful in modern, feminine, or warm-neutral interiors. Gold — warm, radiant, confident in classic, dining, or maximalist spaces. Smoky gray — moody, contemporary, perfect for industrial, dark-mode, or graphic interiors. Silver — cool, reflective, versatile in minimalist or modern-cool palettes. The canopy, frame hardware, and metallised orb shells all share the same finish for a cohesive cluster.
Are bulbs included? How many do I need?
No bulbs are included. Each orb takes one E26 or E27 bulb, so the number of bulbs equals your head count (3 for 3-head, 11 for 11-head, 16 for 16-head). We recommend warm white dimmable LEDs (2700K–3000K, 5–8 W each) for the most flattering molten glow through the metallised shells.
Is the System dimmable?
Yes. The System is compatible with standard household switches and TRIAC dimmers. Install dimmable LED bulbs in each orb and pair with a TRIAC-compatible dimmer switch. A dimmed cluster reads as a glowing constellation overhead — particularly beautiful at the larger head counts.
Can I request different cable lengths within one cluster?
Yes — and we strongly encourage it for larger clusters. Varying the drop lengths of individual orbs (some higher, some lower) creates a layered, sculptural, non-uniform composition that feels much more intentional than uniform drops. List your preferred length per orb when ordering.
Can I install on a sloped ceiling?
No. The System is designed for flat ceilings only. The round canopy needs a level mounting plane, and the cables need to drop vertically for the cluster to sit correctly. For larger configurations (11/13/16 heads), the ceiling junction box must also be reinforced to support the cluster's weight.
Why are there faint marks on the bottom of the orbs?
Those are traces of the mould used to form each orb — an intrinsic signature of the production process, not a defect. They sit on the underside, not visible during normal overhead use.
Can I install it in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. The System is IP20-rated for dry indoor use only — not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, saunas, covered porches, or any outdoor environment.
