Dome pendant that deadens sound and focuses light in open offices or lofts.
Hood is a 60cm-wide pendant with a deep dome shade that absorbs sound while casting light downward, ideal for creating quiet zones in open-plan spaces. The moulded felt shell reduces noise while the open bottom directs illumination to desks, tables, or counters below. Install one over a work surface or seating area, but confirm your ceiling is flat—sloped ceilings aren't compatible.
Sound-absorbing material dampens ambient noise. Three colours: red, grey, or khaki.
Standard length included. Custom lengths available on request. Hardwired connection.
Not included. Works with dimmers and ordinary household switches. AC 110–240V.
Can I use this as a pendant light over my kitchen island?
Yes. The 60cm width works well for islands 90cm to 120cm long. Hang it 75–90cm above the work surface and use a dimmable bulb to control task and ambient light.
Does it actually reduce noise?
The moulded felt absorbs sound, making it useful in open offices or lofts where multiple conversations happen nearby. It won't silence a space, but it dampens reverb over desks or seating areas below.
What bulb do I need?
Any standard E26 or E27 bulb (depending on your region). We don't include one. Choose LED, incandescent, or halogen in your preferred brightness and colour temperature.
Will this work on my sloped ceiling?
No. Hood is designed for flat ceilings only. The hardwired connection and suspension cable require a perpendicular mounting surface.
