Once it was installed, I was thrilled at its look--I loved the circles and the way it did NOT shout, "Look at me." Then I turned it on and found that it's the kind of light that's almost industrial bright. I would not want to turn it on at a dinner or small party, because its brightness kind of grates on the eyes.
It definitely lights up the room, and when I'm working on financial stuff or projects, I am glad I chose it.
I would definitely buy it again, even knowing about its brightness. If you choose this light, be aware that it IS REALLY bright. And it definitely looks great.
