Can I install this where an old light fixture exists?
Yes, if the old fixture was hardwired to the same junction box. An electrician can verify the wiring is suitable and safely remove the old fixture before installation.
Will this work on a dimmer?
Yes, it's compatible with standard dimmers. Use dimmable G9 LED or halogen bulbs for best results.
How bright is it?
Brightness depends on the bulbs you choose. Four 4W dimmable LED bulbs (roughly 400 lumens total) work well for ambient bedroom or hallway light; four 28W halogen bulbs (roughly 2,800 lumens) suit dining areas and living rooms.
Do I need an electrician?
Yes. Hardwired installation requires cutting into the ceiling and connecting to your home's electrical system—hire a licensed electrician.
