The Melt is a 59-inch floor lamp with a 15-inch spherical shade that reads as a sculptural accent in any room. When lit, the hand-blown glass shade emits warm, diffused light with subtle optical distortion; switched off, it reflects like polished metal. Pairs well in living rooms, bedrooms, or reading nooks—confirm your country's plug type before checkout.
Distorted surface creates hallucinogenic light scatter when on. Mirror-finish reflection when off. No two shades identical.
Metal stem and base available in rose gold or silver. Choose wire switch (simpler) or light body switch (on the lamp body itself).
150 cm (59″) height fits corner or beside furniture. 38 cm (15″) shade diameter. Compact footprint.
What is the shade made of?
Hand-blown glass with a distorted mirror finish. The surface scatters light when the lamp is on and reflects like polished metal when it's off. Each shade is unique.
Can this lamp be dimmed?
Dimming is available as a build-to-order option. Choose a triac-compatible bulb and dimmer switch to control the light output smoothly.
Can I change the cord length?
The standard cord is 59 inches with a plug and switch included. We can build it to a different length to fit your space—just let us know your needs when you order.
Will this work on a sloped or vaulted ceiling?
The standard base is designed for flat floors. We can build a custom canopy for sloped or vaulted installations—contact our support team at support@vakkerlight.com with your ceiling pitch before ordering.
Does it run on US household power?
Yes. It accepts AC 110–240V universal input and comes wired with a US plug. An electrician is not required—you plug it into a standard outlet.
Is it approved for US use and do you ship here?
Yes to both. We ship free to all 50 states. The lamp is certified for North America and ready to use.
