The Caprani Floor Lamp is a mid-century classic — designed in the spirit of the Danish modern movement and built from three honest materials: beech wood, cast iron, and linen. Beech Wood Bracket
A solid beech wood arm — gently curved, naturally toned, with the soft warmth and visible grain of unfinished northern hardwood. Each bracket is subtly unique.
Cast Iron Base
A substantial cast iron disc anchors the lamp with weight you can feel. Low-profile and steady — the visual and structural counterweight to the bracket's curve.
Linen Shade
Hand-fitted linen shade, available in White, Beige, or Coffee. The textured weave diffuses the bulb into a soft, ambient glow with a hint of natural texture.

Indoor use only. The Caprani is designed for dry interior environments and is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor installations. Keep the linen shade and beech wood bracket away from moisture, direct sunlight, and direct heat.
08 Installation Setup Notes
- Position the cast iron base on a flat, level surface — its weight stabilises the curved bracket above. Allow clearance behind the lamp for the cord to run cleanly to the wall outlet.
- Install an E26 or E27 bulb (sold separately). A warm white LED bulb (2700K–3000K) gives the most flattering glow through any of the three linen shade colours.
- Plug into a standard wall outlet. The 150 cm cord includes an inline on/off switch — typically positioned along the cord for easy reach from a sofa or armchair.
- When replacing the bulb, unplug the lamp and let the bulb cool completely. Handle the linen shade gently with clean, dry hands to keep it free of marks.

Is a light bulb included?
No. The Caprani takes a standard E26 or E27 screw-base bulb, sold separately. We recommend a warm white LED (2700K–3000K, 5–8W) for the most flattering glow through the linen shade and the lowest heat output.
Which shade colour should I choose?
White gives the brightest, most ambient diffusion — ideal for living rooms and reading corners. Beige is the warmest, most neutral choice — pairs naturally with most interiors. Coffee is the darkest and most directional — gives a moodier, more focused pool of light, with the strongest visual contrast against the beech bracket.
Is the Caprani dimmable?
The lamp itself has a simple inline on/off switch. To dim the light, install a dimmable LED bulb and plug the lamp into a wall outlet controlled by a compatible dimmer switch. The lamp does not have a built-in dimmer.
Will the beech wood vary in tone between lamps?
Yes, slightly. Each beech wood bracket is cut from natural northern hardwood, so subtle variations in grain pattern, tone, and warmth between pieces are expected — and part of the lamp's hand-crafted character. The overall colour and form remain consistent.
How heavy is the cast iron base?
The cast iron base is intentionally substantial — it provides the visual and structural counterweight for the curved beech bracket above, and prevents the lamp from tipping. Please use both hands when moving the lamp, and lift from the base rather than from the bracket.
Can I use the lamp on both 110V and 220V circuits?
Yes. The Caprani supports full-range AC 110–240V and is certified for use in North America, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East — no additional transformer required. Just pair it with a bulb rated for your local voltage.
Can I install it in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. The Caprani is for dry indoor use only. The linen shade and beech wood bracket are sensitive to moisture and humidity — avoid bathrooms, wet rooms, kitchens with high steam exposure, covered porches, or any outdoor environment. Also keep it away from radiators and direct heat sources.
How do I clean the linen shade and beech bracket?
For the linen shade, dust very gently with a soft, dry brush or a lint roller. Avoid water and cleaning sprays — they can stain the natural fibres. For the beech wood bracket, wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Use a slightly damp cloth (water only) on stubborn marks, then dry immediately. Avoid solvents and household cleaners on either material.
