Wafer

Q: What does the name "Wafer" mean?

A wafer describes the lamp's silhouette: an ultra-thin disk pressed flush to the ceiling. In the lighting industry, " wafer light " is the standard term for this category of slim, low-profile flush-mount LED ceiling fixture. The name describes the form precisely — thin, rounded, flush.

Q: Does it come with a bulb?

No bulb is needed — the LED is integrated into the fixture and pre-tuned at the factory at 2700K–3000K warm light. You never buy or replace a bulb. The LED is rated for tens of thousands of hours of use.

Q: What ceiling height does Wafer fit?

Wafer hangs only 11 cm (4.3 inches) from the ceiling — suitable for standard 8-foot ceilings and even lower 7-foot ceilings where a hanging pendant would feel cramped. It is a true flush mount, not a semi-flush, so it sits genuinely close to the ceiling.

Q: Why only one finish (Wood Color & White)?

Wafer is offered as a single, considered combination — a warm wood-tone metal trim paired with a cream-white acrylic shade. The pairing was chosen intentionally: it works in both traditional and contemporary interiors without committing to either. The wood-tone reads as warmth on the ceiling; the cream-white shade glows softly when lit. No finish decision required at checkout.

Q: What color temperature does the LED produce?

Warm Light, 2700K–3000K — a soft, honey-glow tone that flatters interiors and feels comfortable in evening use. The colour temperature is fixed at the factory (this is a single-CCT fixture, not tunable). Warm light is well suited to bedrooms, hallways, kitchens, and living areas where a cozy, ambient quality is preferred over the cooler, bluer light of daylight bulbs.

Q: What size room does Wafer light?

At 35 cm (13.7″) diameter, Wafer works as primary ambient lighting for rooms up to roughly 15–20 m² (160–215 sq ft) — typical bedrooms, hallways, kitchens, utility rooms, walk-in closets, and small dining rooms. For larger rooms, install multiple Wafers in a grid pattern, or pair with secondary task lighting.

Q: Is the shade made of glass or acrylic?

Acrylic. The cream-toned shade is acrylic, not glass — chosen for impact resistance, even light diffusion, and easy cleaning. Acrylic produces the same diffused glow as glass but is far less fragile during installation and ongoing use.

Q: Can I use it on both 110V and 220V circuits?

Yes. Wafer supports full-range AC 110–240V and is certified for use in North America, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East — no additional transformer required.

Disk Flush-Mount Ceiling Light

01 Overview A Slim Disk, Pressed to the Ceiling

Thin enough to be a wafer — pressed flush to the ceiling, glowing softly below.

Wafer is a low-profile flush-mount LED ceiling light built for the rooms where the fixture should quietly serve the space rather than dominate it — hallways, bedrooms, kitchens, utility corridors, walk-in closets, or anywhere a clean, unobtrusive ceiling light is needed. Just 11 cm (4.3″) tall, the disk sits flush against the ceiling without the cramped feeling of a hanging pendant. A broad cream-white acrylic shade diffuses the integrated LED into a generous, even glow at 2700K–3000K warm light, paired with a warm wood-tone metal trim that reads as quiet warmth against any ceiling. A single, considered combination — designed to recede gracefully into traditional and contemporary interiors alike.

A slim metal plate sits flush to the ceiling, finished in a warm wood tone that adds quiet warmth without drawing attention to itself. Architectural, restrained, and quietly serving its role rather than competing with the ceiling.

Cream Acrylic Shade

A wide, disk-shaped acrylic diffuser in a warm cream palette spreads the light evenly across the room. No hot spots, no harsh edges — just a soft, generous glow. Acrylic is impact-resistant and easy to clean, unlike fragile glass.

07 Installation Setup Notes

Hardwired ceiling installation — a licensed electrician is recommended for safe mounting, wiring, and grounding.
Wafer mounts flush against the ceiling. A standard ceiling junction box is sufficient; verify with your electrician that the box is correctly positioned and supported.
No bulb required. The LED is integrated and factory-tuned — simply wire the fixture, restore power, and the light is ready to use.
For dimming, install Wafer on a wall circuit with a TRIAC-compatible LED dimmer. Confirm dimmer compatibility before installation to avoid flicker at low output. Standard incandescent dimmers may not perform correctly with LED loads.
The acrylic shade and backplate attach with simple retaining hardware — follow the included Assembly Instructions for the correct sequence. Handle the shade with clean, dry hands; avoid touching the LED module directly.

Warm light is well suited to bedrooms, hallways, kitchens, and living areas where a cozy, ambient quality is preferred over the cooler, bluer light of daylight bulbs.

Is Wafer dimmable?

Yes. Wafer is compatible with standard household switches and with TRIAC-compatible LED dimmers. Install it on a dimmer-switch circuit to allow smooth brightness adjustment. Confirm your dimmer is rated for LED / electronic loads for best performance — older incandescent dimmers may not dim LEDs smoothly.

What size room does Wafer light?

At 35 cm (13.7″) diameter, Wafer works as primary ambient lighting for rooms up to roughly 15–20 m² (160–215 sq ft) — typical bedrooms, hallways, kitchens, utility rooms, walk-in closets, and small dining rooms. For larger rooms, install multiple Wafers in a grid pattern, or pair with secondary task lighting.

Where does Wafer work best?

Hallways, bedrooms, kitchens, utility rooms, entries, walk-in closets, small dining rooms, and any room where you want clean ambient ceiling light without a large sculptural fixture. Wafer is especially well suited to standard or low ceilings where a pendant would feel cramped.

Is the shade made of glass or acrylic?

Acrylic. The cream-toned shade is acrylic, not glass — chosen for impact resistance, even light diffusion, and easy cleaning. Acrylic produces the same diffused glow as glass but is far less fragile during installation and ongoing use.

Can I use it on both 110V and 220V circuits?

Yes. Wafer supports full-range AC 110–240V and is certified for use in North America, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East — no additional transformer required.

Can I install it in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. Wafer is IP20-rated for dry indoor use only — not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, saunas, covered porches, or any outdoor environment. For damp or wet locations, an IP44 or higher fixture is required by code in most jurisdictions.

How do I clean the shade?

With the power off and the fixture cool, dust the acrylic shade gently with a soft dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, use a slightly damp cloth (water only, or a drop of pH-neutral soap) and dry immediately. Avoid ammonia-based glass cleaners, solvents, and abrasives — these will haze or scratch the acrylic.
