01Overview

Frosted petal glass sconce casts warm ambient light without glare or harsh shadows.

The Sylvia is a wall sconce with cascading frosted glass petals on a nickel frame, measuring 14.2″ wide by 15.7″ tall—substantial enough to anchor a vanity or bed wall without overwhelming a standard room. Ribbed glass diffuses light evenly, creating soft pools of warmth rather than bright spots. Flank a mirror, frame a bed, or place one in a hallway; check your wall can support a hardwired fixture and verify bulb compatibility (E12 or E14 base) before ordering.

Can I plug this in or does it need hardwiring?

This sconce is hardwired to your home's electrical system and controlled by a standard wall switch. It is not a plug-in fixture.

What bulb do I need?

Any bulb with an E12 or E14 base works. The sconce itself does not include a bulb. Choose your preferred wattage and color temperature (warm white is typical for this fixture).

How much light does it actually put out?

Light output depends on the bulb you install. The frosted glass diffuses the light evenly, so there are no dark spots or harsh glare, making it ideal for accent or ambient lighting rather than task lighting.

Can I use this in a bathroom?

No. This fixture is rated IP 20 and is not waterproof. It is suitable for dry indoor spaces only, not near showers, tubs, or moisture-prone areas.

A seven-century workshop

In 1291 Venice moved its furnaces to one island. The glass never left.

Murano glass is a way of working: molten glass shaped by a maestro, breath and hand, exactly as it has always been.

Each element is formed while glowing, then annealed slowly for strength. The result has a soft, liquid surface machine-pressed glass can't copy.

Gather

Molten glass collected at 1,100°C and centred on a steel marver.

Blow & shape

The maestro shapes each petal, leaf or disc by hand.

Colour

Mineral oxides melted into the batch — colour that never fades.

Anneal

24 hours cooling in a lehr for lasting strength.

Each element is made individually — expect slight variation in size, shade and shape.

Assembled and inspected before packing, with each piece in its own foam cavity.
