The Maise Ceramic Painted Wall Sconce brings vintage farmhouse character and cottagecore warmth to the wall. Its shade is hand-painted under the glaze, with patterns ranging from botanical motifs to playful dots and rustic stripes, and sits on an adjustable antique brass arm over a solid walnut or ceramic backplate — each one feels like a flea-market find. Use it as a bedside reading light, an accent in a reading nook, or along a hallway, entryway, or living room wall.

Is this hardwired, or does it plug in?
It's hardwired, with no plug or cord, and is turned on and off by a standard wall switch. We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
How do the eight models differ?
Each model has its own hand-painted pattern. Models A and B have a 17 cm shade on a solid walnut backplate; Model C has a 17 cm shade on a ceramic backplate; Models D to H have an 18 cm shade on a ceramic backplate.
Will my shade look exactly like the photos?
No two are identical. Each shade is painted by hand under the glaze, so small differences in brushwork and color are natural and part of its character.
Will the backplate cover my junction box?
The backplate is 12 cm (4.7") across. Compare this with your wall junction box before ordering, and contact our team if you're unsure.
Is a bulb included?
No. You supply an E26 or E27 base bulb separately. Check the wattage limit printed on the fixture before buying.
Can I use this beside a bathroom mirror?
It's rated IP20, meaning dry indoor locations only — it isn't sealed against moisture or steam, so it's not suited to bathrooms or other damp areas.
How do I care for it?
Wipe the ceramic with a soft, damp cloth, and the brass and walnut with a dry cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners.
