Is this a plug-in ceiling light?
No. This fixture is hardwired to your home's electrical system. Installation requires turning off power at the breaker and connecting live, neutral, and ground wires to the ceiling box. If you're not comfortable with electrical work, hire a licensed electrician.
Can I install this where an existing ceiling light already hangs?
Yes, if the existing fixture is hardwired and you keep the same electrical box. You'll disconnect the old fixture's wires, connect Sylvia's wires to them, and mount the new base plate. A electrician can do this in one visit.
What bulb do I need?
Any E12 or E14 base bulb up to the wattage rated for your ceiling box (typically 60–100W). Bulb is not included. We recommend LED warm white (2700K) for bedrooms and dining rooms to keep light soft.
Can I use this in a bathroom or kitchen?
Not in bathrooms or above sinks. IP 20 rating means no water splash protection. It's safe in dry areas: bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, and kitchens away from moisture.

A seven-century workshop
In 1291 Venice moved its furnaces to one island. The glass never left.
Murano glass is a way of working: molten glass shaped by a maestro, breath and hand, exactly as it has always been.
Each element is formed while glowing, then annealed slowly for strength. The result has a soft, liquid surface machine-pressed glass can't copy.

Small bubbles and uneven edges are not defects. They are the signature of the maestro.
From furnace to ceiling
Four steps, all of them by hand
Minutes to shape, a full day to cool. No fast version.
Gather
Molten glass collected at 1,100°C and centred on a steel marver.
Blow & shape
The maestro shapes each petal, leaf or disc by hand.
Colour
Mineral oxides melted into the batch — colour that never fades.
Anneal
24 hours cooling in a lehr for lasting strength.
Each element is made individually — expect slight variation in size, shade and shape.
Assembled and inspected before packing, with each piece in its own foam cavity.
