Can I install this where an old ceiling light fixture exists?
Yes. Turn off power at the breaker, remove the old fixture, and wire this one into the existing junction box if it fits. If you're unsure about wiring, hire a licensed electrician.
What bulb do I need?
Any E26 or E27 screw-in bulb—LED, incandescent, or CFL. Wattage depends on your fixture's rating. Not included.
Does the shade color affect how bright the room gets?
Yes. Cream and gold amber allow more light through; green reduces brightness slightly. All are suitable for living rooms and bedrooms with proper wattage.
Can I use this on a dimmer?
Yes, if your bulb is dimmable. Check the bulb packaging—most modern LED and all incandescent bulbs work with dimmers.
