Bedside & reading
Seated, the bottom of the shade should sit at about eye level so the bulb never shows. A pair on matching nightstands keeps the room symmetrical.

08Questions
What is the shade and base made of?
The base is a solid wood tripod—choose walnut or brown wood, finished with natural oils and wax. The shade is a fabric drum in white or black linen that diffuses light evenly across your desk or nightstand.
Can this lamp be dimmed?
Dimming is available as a build option. The standard lamp ships with an in-line on/off switch; order it with triac dimming capability and control brightness from full to off.
Can I change the cord length?
The standard cord is 59 inches with an integrated switch and plug. We build to order, so you can specify a different length to suit your table and outlet placement.
Does it work on a sloped or vaulted ceiling?
This is a table lamp, not a ceiling fixture, so slope does not apply. It sits on an end table, nightstand, or desk.
Does it run on US household power?
Yes. The lamp is wired for AC 110–240V universal voltage. Choose the US plug type at checkout, and it plugs into a standard North American outlet. You supply your own E26 or E27 bulb—we recommend 60–75W incandescent or LED equivalent.
Is this lamp approved for use in the US and do you ship here?
Yes to both. We ship free to all 50 states. The lamp is for indoor use and meets North American safety standards.
