Each U-shaped lamp module rotates independently — rearrange the chandelier whenever you like.
The defining feature of Cirkus: each U-shaped module can be rotated to any orientation — open end facing downward (default, throws light onto the table), upward (washes light against the ceiling), sideways (directs light onto walls), or any combination across the chandelier. Rearrange anytime, no tools required, no electrician needed for the adjustment. This is the "circus-like mobility" Mars Hwasung Yoo built into the design.
Important — please note: This fixture allows the U-shaped lamp head to be mounted with the open end facing upward. This is intentional and unique to the design — different orientations produce different lighting effects (downward = task light, upward = ambient ceiling wash). Experiment freely with different combinations.

Three Pillars
Coated ABS Body
The U-shaped modules are constructed from powder-coated ABS plastic — engineered for impact resistance during shipping and installation, light enough to allow easy hand-rotation of each module, and finished in a matte texture that reads ceramic-like rather than plastic. Color is applied through baked-on powder coating that won't chip or fade with handling.
Aluminum Connectors
The structural hub at the center and the connecting arms between each U-module are machined from aluminum — strong enough to hold the modules in any rotated position, light enough to keep the overall fixture weight manageable for ceiling installation. The connectors are designed to allow tool-free rotation while staying firmly in place once positioned.
Integrated LED · Built In
Each U-shaped module contains a built-in LED light source — no bulb to buy or replace. Total wattage scales with size: 56W (4 heads), 84W (6 heads), 100W (8 heads). Color temperature: Warm White (factory-set, single Kelvin range). Not dimmer-compatible — works with standard household on/off switches only.

Installation
Setup & Adjustment
- Hardwired ceiling installation — a licensed electrician is recommended for safe mounting, wiring, and grounding (especially for the 8-head version with full 100W draw).
- Flat ceilings only. The canopy is not configured for sloped or vaulted ceilings — a swivel-canopy adapter would be required (sold separately, not included).
- Watch the product video to see how the U-shaped modules rotate and the various orientation arrangements.
- No bulb required. The LED is integrated — simply wire the fixture to the junction box and restore power.
- Do not install on a dimmer circuit. The integrated LED is not dimmer-compatible — confirm the wall switch is a standard on/off type before installation.
- Adjust U-shape orientation by hand. Once installed, each U-shaped module can be rotated to any direction by hand — open end up, down, sideways, or any mix. Rearrange any time without tools. The aluminum connectors hold each module firmly in its set position.
- Default suspension cable is 150 cm (59"). For dining tables, the bottom of the chandelier should sit roughly 75–90 cm above the table surface. Custom cable lengths can be specified at order time if standard length isn't ideal.
- Two people are recommended for unboxing and lift-installation — particularly the 6-head and 8-head versions, which are larger and benefit from a second pair of hands during ceiling mounting.

What does "Cirkus" mean? And who designed it?
Cirkus is the Scandinavian (Swedish/Danish) word for "circus" — chosen by the designer to evoke the lightness, mobility, and playfulness of circus performance. The Cirkus collection was designed by BYMARS Studio, founded in 2010 by South Korean designer Mars Hwasung Yoo and based in Stockholm. The design fuses Korean and Scandinavian design traditions, manufactured by Korean lighting brand AGO Lighting.
Is this an authentic AGO Lighting Cirkus by BYMARS?
No. This is a faithful representation of the Cirkus design language, not an original or licensed AGO Lighting product. Original-edition AGO Cirkus Chandeliers, designed by BYMARS Studio, are sold under separate arrangements through AGO Lighting's authorised retail network (Finnish Design Shop, Lightform, Savannah Bay Gallery) at price points of approximately $1,272 USD for the large size. We offer this interpretation for buyers who admire the playful Korean-Scandinavian design language at a different price point.
Can the U-shaped lamp head face upward?
Yes — this is the defining feature of the Cirkus design. Each U-shaped module can be rotated to any orientation: open end facing downward (default, throws light onto the table), upward (washes light against the ceiling), sideways (directs light onto walls), or any combination across the chandelier. This is a single Kelvin option — the temperature cannot be changed after purchase or switched between Warm/Cool. If you need a different color temperature, please contact us before ordering to confirm options.
Is the body real ceramic or solid metal?
No — the body is powder-coated ABS plastic with aluminum connectors. This is a deliberate engineering choice: ABS is impact-resistant during shipping (a chandelier made of ceramic at this scale would frequently arrive broken), light enough to allow easy hand-rotation of each U-module, and the matte powder coating gives a soft ceramic-like appearance. Aluminum is used for the structural hub and rotating connectors, where strength matters more than weight.
Are other CIRKUS Collection pieces available?
Yes. The CIRKUS Collection includes a wall lamp and a track rail lamp in addition to the chandeliers — all sharing the same U-shaped module design language and the same four colors (Black, Blue, Gray, Terracotta). Can I order custom cable lengths?
Yes. The standard cable is 150 cm (59"), but custom lengths can be specified at order time — useful for double-height rooms, low ceilings, or installations where the standard length isn't ideal. Please specify your preferred drop length when placing the order.
What hanging height is right for a dining table?
For a dining table, the bottom of the chandelier should sit roughly 75–90 cm (30–35") above the table surface — close enough to feel intimate and to throw direct light onto the table when the U-shapes are oriented downward, far enough not to obstruct sightlines. For ambient or feature lighting in living rooms, hang slightly higher (180–200 cm above the floor).
Can I use it on both 110V and 220V circuits?
Yes. The Cirkus Chandelier supports full-range AC 110-240V and is certified for use in North America, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East — no additional transformer required.
Can I install it in a bathroom or outdoors?
No. The Cirkus Chandelier is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only — not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, covered porches, or outdoor environments. Beyond the IP rating, the powder-coated ABS body is not designed for prolonged humidity exposure.
