A translucent alabaster shade with rich veining sits atop a vintage-inspired brass arm and square backplate, diffusing a warm, layered glow. Every alabaster shade is unique — as a natural stone, its veining and translucency differ from piece to piece, so no two lights are ever the same. Is this hardwired, or does it plug in?
It's hardwired, with no plug or cord, and is controlled by an external wall switch. We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
What bulb does it take?
It uses a small E12 (candelabra) or E14 base bulb, not included. A warm-white LED around 2700K brings out the stone's glow; check the wattage limit printed on the fixture before buying.
Are there natural variations in the alabaster?
Yes. Alabaster is a natural stone, so veining and translucency vary piece to piece — no two shades are identical.
Can I use this in a bathroom or powder room?
It's rated IP20, meaning dry indoor locations only — it isn't sealed against moisture or steam, and alabaster is a soft, porous stone, so it's not suited to bathrooms or powder rooms.
How do I care for the alabaster?
Wipe gently with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners, which can mark the stone.
